The capital of the country, Niamey stretches along the Niger River. Visitors discover the Boubou Hama National Museum, the Grand Marché, sunset pirogue rides and architecture blending Sahelian tradition with modernity.
It is the entry point for most travellers and the best starting point to visit the giraffe reserve at Kouré and W National Park.
